Elafonissi is one of the most famous beaches in Crete, located 66km away from our hotel and about 1 and a half-hour drive.
Close to Elafonissi, Kedrodasos is worth a visit as it is a beach with plenty of juniper trees. Find a juniper tree and enjoy the shadow!
Usually and especially during July and August, these two beaches are very crowded. It is better to go as early as possible and to bring your hat and a lot of sunscreen!
On your way or after a visit to the beaches, we suggest you to make a stop at the cave of Agia Sofia. There you can find a small hidden orthodox church inside the rocks.
Also, you could visit the Chrysoskalitissa Monastery that offers a breath-taking view to the sea.
In case you want to try local cuisine, a stop at the tavern of ‘’Nerantzoula’’ is a must!
If you’re feeling adventurous, visiting the Milia Mountain Retreat would be a great idea and you could taste local bio products in the restaurant of a local guesthouse.
If you are interested in following a different route to return to the hotel, you can follow the seaside road, which gives you the opportunity to enjoy the view to the sea from the mountains.
You could also make a stop at Sfinari, a small village where you can find taverns with fresh fish!
